Packing and Preparation

Please note the following:

  • Weather: Leipzig is pleasant, but cool, in the spring with temperatures ranging from 55-68F. Radiant heating is found throughout the villa and city. Air conditioning is virtually non-existent in the city and not available in the ACU villa.

  • Baggage: We will be flying American Airlines and adhering to existing AA baggage policies. One check-in bag, one carry-on, and one personal item are allowed.

  • Electronics: Germany uses a standard European type C/Type F plug at 220V.

Clothing List

  • Relaxed cool-weather clothing

  • One nicer outfit for the final dinner (business casual)

  • House shoes/shower shoes

  • Light rain jacket with hood

  • Light, compressible down coat or fleece

  • Packable umbrella

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Hat or cap

Toiletries (common toiletries can be easily found in Leipzig)

  • Shampoo

  • Soap

  • Deodorant

  • Toothbrush

  • Toothpaste

  • Contact lens solution

  • Razors

Miscellaneous (many of these supplies can be purchased in Leipzig)

  • Debit/credit card

  • Required over-the-counter medications and prescription medication

  • Flashlight

  • Small backpack for excursions and day trips

  • Camera

  • Cards, books for leisure

  • Adapter/converter
